French poet Patrice de La Tour du Pin shows the importance of beliefs and myths in the history of the region. Le Perche is rich in witches, ghosts, saints, treasures, unexplained events or even fountains with fabulous powers. “It’s a closed, wooded, rural country, very conducive to legends.”, explique Philippe Siguret, historien, ancien président de la Fédération des Amis du Perche.
